Group Policies

Groups are part of communication and are good for socializing. Wedgar is a perfect site to create and join groups, but doing so will require you to follow these rules when operating them. Whether owner or not, everyone must follow them. No exceptions. We will remove any group that is in violation of our rules.

It is the responsibility of the group admins that they enforce these rules at all times and that they add these rules onto their group rules section. Additionally, Wedgar's standard rules also apply in tandem with the Group Policies.

Racism, Sexism, Discrimination, and Hate Speech

None of the following from above are allowed in any group. Any group to have any of these will have the following posts removed by an admin or staff. Further offenses will result in a permanent ban. Group owners are to enforce these rules to everyone within their groups and are to report these offenses to admins which we will remove if we discover them. Groups that allow them will be deleted and the group owner will be banned for the offense.

Scams, Advertising, Misleading

Any group made just to scam or mislead users of its intent are not acceptable. Groups that allow these will be deleted by site staff. Groups that are made to advertise will also be removed as well and offenders will be banned for these offenses.

Copyright Infringement

Wedgar is not a place to host torrents, and intentionally stealing copyrighted material will result in the group being deleted and the offender's account will be deleted for violating the site's rules. You are also not to steal from other groups either, as this is a very serious manner and will be dealt with as such.

Pornography

Wedgar does not allow any form of pornography on its site and any groups that allow even slight porn will be removed instantly if discovered. Some forms of pornography are completely illegal and users posting them will be permanently banned immediately.

Harassment, Threats, Abuse, Intimidation, Bullying

None of the following from above are allowed in any group. Any group to have any of these will have the following posts removed by an admin or staff and will result in a permanent ban for first offense. Group owners are to enforce these rules to everyone within their groups and are to report these offenses immediately to admins which we will remove if we discover them. Groups that allow them will be deleted and the group owner will be banned for the offense.

Minimodding

This is a mandatory rule for all groups on Wedgar. Any form of minimodding will not be accepted by anyone and will result in a ban from that specific group or the entire site. We absolutely do not allow any form of minimodding as this is admin impersonation. Users who are admin or staff on the site will have the appropriate tags on their profile. Anyone on Wedgar who pretends to be an admin or other staff official without any of these tags are imposters and should be reported immediately.

Ignoring Users (Blocking)

Do not block group admins on any group that you join. Doing so will get you banned from Wedgar after repeated offenses. Blocking admins makes it harder for individual groups to moderate properly. Admins must report to Wedgar if they suspect that a user has blocked/ignored them.

Group Rights And Responsibilities

  1. All groups have the right to make up their own rules so long as they don't go too far, and you are required to follow each group's own set of policies. Continuously harassing groups regarding their rules will result in a ban from the site.
  2. All groups have the right but are NOT obligated to report posts from other groups they don't own or moderate.
  3. All groups are to enforce the above rules and are responsible for the posts within their groups.
  4. We will take action if groups go too far on their rules. You are NOT to yell against members of your groups or scold them for their actions.
  5. Your group rules must not violate Wedgar's policies or supersede or be in any way different from them, nor may your rules be too overly restrictive.
  6. Your group rules MUST be clearly listed and easily accessible for everyone.
  7. Wedgar will host some of its own groups in the near future, and the forum is where you can get help on starting a group.
